global annonouncement, sticky.

When I post a new post and set it to be a global annonouncement, or, sticky or .
It doesn't work, post is always as normal post!

I am sorry, but don't know, it is with 1.5 version.
I notice when I use a all post moderation, than global annonouncement, and sticky works. But when I try to set this up with a post doesn't work.
I try to set with post but always I get normal post.

The settings in the acp doesn't override the user settings? Regarding the split topic type settings.
And on your profile settings the topic type are splitted too?
What's about permissions for announcements and sticky?

when I can manage all topics, there I can setup topic like a sticky or annonouncement, that's why it is strange that doesn't work in new post, or old post.

I did tested the whole thing again and now I see what is the point, global annonouncement doesn't work, because the post is signed as NEWS.
It works when I setup like I described at the top, but doesn't when I try to assign a news and global annonouncement with the same post.
I think that is a bug.

This is not a bug. The same way global announcments will be defined, news works too. So a post just can be a (global) announce, sticky, news or normal post. Not more than one of them.

How than I can setup that with a form where I manage all posts?
I setted a post for a news and with a form, you can see on pic, an annonouncemnent too.
It is both.
But that cannot do with a post, to setup both!

Setting news to an announce (e.g.) the post will be not longer a news.
Both topic types are using the same field to decide between these topic type, so news can't be have another status at the same time.
Test it within the modcp.

Yes the funny thing is that I tested, and it can be both at the same time, you can check on my forum, that is the strange thing.
look for this post "Natečaj za LOGO"
it is on the portal and it is on the top of index page like annonouncement.

Okay I think the mod will here work different as I know him.
Or the news which are setted later on as announcements will be both because a news flag is setted on the post. I thought there was such a second flag, but I'm not sure.

I did tested that on clean instalation and it is the same.

But that is like it is, no need to change I will do that manualy through a moderator CP.

That's exactly no bug on normal posts, because setting posts as news or announcements are using the same data field for the specialy post.
The possibility to set a news at the same time as an announce via modcp is the bug!
But an interesting one

Try this:
Post a "normal" news and change it within editing the post to an announcement.
If this will not work, the modcp haves a huge bug.

I found out more interesting things, after a fev days the annonouncement was gone. I think when I put another post to news.

I don't know about such a function. Posting a new post will not affect existing ones.
The only thing is a settable time in the ACP after that an announce will not more be displayed above each forum but only above the forum the announcement was posted in.
