Prune downloads after a period of time instead of rows.

Is it possible to prune downloads after some time (lets say a month)instead of the row function and then configurable in acp ?

yep, im sure... i have to deal with retention of newsservers and most payservers have a retention of 30-60 days :P.

about the other stuff thx for the input, guess i have to find someone else whos willing to help me and knows what hes talking about :).

Hm, I don't know about such servers, but okay...

Can you run cronjobs?
There must be some automatic working script to prune downloads, because after 30-60 days there can be no user online on the board, so no download shall be pruned, but missing.
But using a cronjob will delete all downloads which are older than a hard coded timespan.
Overall not easy to handle...
