Description and Message

I notice a 2 days ago, that my PM, works very slow.
When I send a PM after clicking send it takes a 30 second to send a message.

I tryed with a new account test, and there it works ok, it send a message imediatly after clicking send.

I try to delete all messages in my box, but still doesn't work well.

I did some test.
When I send form a new user a PM to a new user, message was sended in second.
But when I sended from new username to me, it takes 30 seconds ro send a message.
When I send from me to new username it sends in 1 second.

looks like some users can't receive messages as some others

Perhaps a big image in your signature? Big or extern linked Avatar?

no images, only plain text, and avatar is like it was before, when it works ok,
linked avatars are not allowed.


I SOLVE THE PROBLEM
when I turn off a smtp in ACP configuration now it works OK.


BUT NOW I don't get any email notifications about new PM.
Sending mail from board doesn't work.

AND some mail require a
my outgoing server (SMTP) requires autentication.

how to solve that in ACP configuration.

On ACP under General Admin > Settings you can enter the username and passwort to connect to the smtp. And the url, too.

I did that, but does'nt work because provider have set up
"my outgoing server (SMTP) requires autentication"
withouth that it is impossible to send mail.
If you check out that in outlook you can see mail sending doesn't work.

Because then PHP can not use the server!
No webserver, no mail...

ok, is it possible to add to form where is a
smtp server
username
password

a filed where is a field
require authentication

and that it works like in outlook

al the servers have this authentication because of spam.

I did that, but like I explained, no posibility to have autentication for server.

oxpus wrote ACP. That is your admin control panel of your forum! Not Settings in your IE Browser

Then ask your provider about this. He have the needed authentification data for you and/or can look for the mailserver.

I did that, but like I said, providers now require that because of SPAMers.
in the future no mail provider doesn't work withouth that.

Only your provider know your needed datas. Only he can activate the SMTP with the needed authentification datas you must enter in the General Settings in the ACP to be able to use it by your board!
