Search In User Profiles

What a coincedence, another of your mods I would like to use on my boards, however I noticed the last update was in 2004 and I do not see it listed in your website, so wanted to make sure I can use it still:

I need a bit of help on a couple of points if you can:

How can I put the search box in the memberlist page like you have on this site?

In regards to searches, where I have a drop down menu in my profile, the search cannot find it there, do you know how I can make it find things that are not text based, as I have Xdata mod. Also if I search for a username, it cannot find it.

? My mod will only search in userprofiles by using the board search form...

The mod will only be able to search in text based fields.
You can define each new profile field to search in it by add them in the lines

Where do you search?
The standard phpBB search allowes to search for a user.
Or you uses the memberlist filter which I've posted...

Thank you for your reply, always as helpful as ever

Looking at your code, I was trying to understand how I could put new fields in, so guess I am looking for some help on how to modify your code.

See, if you go to www.Italiansunited.co.uk and look on a profile, you will see fileds such as "Tube Station" which I used the mod Xdata to create drop down menu's where someone can choose which is his nearest tube station, or Sex, so if they are Male or Femail has a radio button.

It would be nice to add the search for this on your code.

Also many tanks for the memberlist mod that you showed me, I have added this too and it is fantastic, and I would like to ask you if I can do the same there, so to add searchs to refine if someone is male or female etc.... I know this is not your mod, so if you cant help, I understand.

Again:
These MODs can only search on text fields!
Searching for other options as texts must be coded as an additional search.

Thanks for the tip, I was able to add username to your mod, but I am trying to understand if I can search in other text mods, like in xdata I have sex, male or female, and it would be good to do a search there, I tried adding the line to search in the xdata fields like so but it didnt work, any ideas?

Again:
Fields like gender are numbers and NOT text fields.
To search in those fields, too, the mod must increase with an extra search field!

Regard, that e. g. the gender mod will save "male" or "female" as NUMBERS in the database (here as 1 and 2).
Completly different to a textual content.

So no:
It's IMPOSSIBLE to add those fields in my mod.
