Upload problem with DL mod

Hi

first i'd like to say GREAT MOD! just what i have been looking for but i have one problem that i hope someone out there can help me with.

I cannot upload a file using the download mod larger than 8mb, my web site host says that the php will not allow a larger upload than 8mb (is this normal or do i have a bad host?) When i try to upload a larger file the upload goes for about 2 seconds then just stops.

They told me to get the mod to upload using ftp instead, is this possible? if so what changes do i need to make? i assume its the dl_upload.php file i have to change but i'm not sure.

sorry, this is a problem of the server, you're running your site on, only the webmaster of the host can change this!
But also me for example, I can only upload 2 MB on my site!
