Bithday at eventlist?

Sorry for writing english down here, i am from holland and i am able to read german language but not able to write it, i hope taht isn't a problem.

I was wondering if it is possible to display the birthday information at the evenlist coming from the birthday MOD at the calendar.

I hope you can give me a hint or an awnser.

About your request: Will you have the birthday informations as content about the event author or as standalone event? The last is difficult, because both (the birthdays and the events) will be in stored in different tables and must combined with a heavy script. I'd tried this some times ago, but ... without a solution

The authors birthdays (if entered by the user) can be displayed. Some questions:
Which format the birthdays should haves? Full birthday (formated like board timeformat) or only the current age of the user? And should an admin be able to enable/disable over ACP the displaying of these informations in the lists?
This should no problem all in all.

Hint: Insert the birthdays in these lists can slow down your board. Every event and birthday more will produce huge traffic on the database whill accessing the eventlists...

Hi Oxpus,

I don't mind wich way it will show up at the eventlist, i must admit i am new to php, sql and this kind of stuff, i am a network engineer but never did much at the programming side of IT. My database isn't that big, i have 20 registered users (friends and a (local) band for wich i do some PA work) and we only use it to communicate where to go during weekend,how you recovered the weekend or other silly conversations/links/pictures.

The server i am running the database at is a Dual P3-600, Win2000Adv-SP4, MySQL 4.0.14-nt. I hope you have enough specs so far

We (the users at my forum) liked the calendar option so we can see where to play or what to do at the weekend, but there wasn't a way to get a proper view, your eventlist made it clear in just one click only are birthday events missing and we are used to celebrate everyone's birthday togheter. So i would be happy if those could show up to, some how

Okay, two possible ways:
You can install my Mod Birthdays on Calendar lite 1.4.xx. This will display all Birthdays directly in the calendar.
Or you can use the Birthdaylist (I can rewrite this for the callite, if you want) to get a seperate list of all birthdays (like the eventlists).

At the moment I've no idea to combine events with birthdays in one list. You can use one of the things above, but I'll try again to do the combination. So stay tuned...

Good news rudolf,

I've combined the birthdays with the eventslists. Exacter: You can see (after update your eventlists from 1.2.2 to 1.3.0) the birthdays sorted within all future events in the specially list.

So update my mod and have fun.
